Hirshhorn museum in WashingtonDC.  Claudia Olivos was contracted to do a workshop coinciding with a major retrospective of the Mexican artist, Ana Mendieta.
Claudia traveled to New York to preview the exhibit 5 months before it came to Washington DC.  At the Hirshhorn, she lectured and did a three session workshop  with the teens which culminated in a ritual by the outdoor sculpture garden with water and candles... just as Mendieta would have wanted!

Teatro de La Luna.
Where we have worked on several backdrops for children's plays...and have helped with scenery for plays...we recently finished our first "Vitral" - a stained glass effect done for the office front of Casa de La Luna-the theater's 'heaquarters in DC.  The size was enormous and it took us a month to complete the process.  If you drive by ... you will see it: 4020 Georgia Av, NW--especially at dusk to see the light effects!
MultiNational Mural- At a local (Fairfax) Elementary school we volunteered in a classroom to create a small mural.  Other artists did the same in other classrooms.  We took advantage of the fact that this is one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the area, and we created a multinational mural.  It was beautiful, and the children enjoyed seeing the different skintones of the children depicted in the mural and the flags of their countries of origin appear in the mural/collage.
